About Charity Storage

The founders Barry Hoeven and Lance Watkins saw a use for storage that would benefit both operators and customers. They asked self storage facilities to donate storage space in order for customers to drop-off belongings they no longer wanted. With these donations, the organization is able to raise funds for its focus charities.

Charity Storage donates 20% to Kure It Cancer research which is an organization also founded by Barry Hoeven. 10% is given to their partner the Self Storage Association to help a student go to college. Only 10% is given to Charity Storage for administrative needs. We are giving the majority of the proceeds from each of our Halethorpe MD storage auctions to the American Heart Association.
